The works broadcast in this way (songs, but also theme music, music for films, TV series or advertising, etc.) are the fruit of the labors of authors, composers and music publishers, who have entrusted Sacem with the task of collecting and distributing copyright.

** Audiovisual broadcasts given in the rooms of tourist accommodation establishments are considered by the Courts to be public broadcasts. In a ruling dated April 6/1995, CNN v. sté Hôtelière Novotel Paris Les Halles, the French Supreme Court held that all hotel guests, even if each occupies an individual room on a private basis, constitute the public. Therefore, the mere fact of providing your customers with the possibility of receiving television broadcasts constitutes public broadcasting.
