Destination & fishing
Located in three sub-catchment areas: Marne, Aisne and Seine valleys, the Marne river system is 3,855 km long.

The Marne department offers numerous fishing spots where all techniques are practicable and where most freshwater fish species are present: cyprinids (carp, bream, roach…), carnivores (pike, perch, zander…), salmonids (grayling and trout) in whitewater but also in private ponds.

Lac du Der, France’s largest man-made lake, offers 4,800 hectares of water for anglers in search of big fish.
