Created by the Agence de développement touristique de la Marne in partnership with the Comité départemental de la randonnée pédestre, it offers a selection of well-maintained and signposted circuits.
For a green getaway, a short hiking loop or a long nature tour in the Marne, the carte rando is the perfect companion for all your outings!
Long-distance hiking trails in the Marne GR® network
The GR 14 crosses the Marne from west to east, passing through the Montagne de Reims Regional Nature Park and the Champagne vineyards. It then bends northwards to join the Ardennes.
The GR 654, known as the route to Santiago de Compostela, is a Unesco World Heritage Site. It passes through Reims, Châlons-en-Champagne, Vitry-le-François and Troyes via Lac du Der.
The GR 145, also known as the Via Francigena, is a historic medieval itinerary enabling pilgrims to reach Rome from Canterbury via Reims.
The GR 142 joins the Verzenay mill in the Marne to Guise in the Aisne. It traverses the northern slopes of the Montagne de Reims, following the Ardre valley to Fismes.
The GR 14B, a variant of the GR 14, winds its way through the sublime Argonne massif on its western flank.

Themed walks for the curious
Discover our themed tours, enhanced by information panels illustrating the discovery: anecdotes, stories and scientific content give a complementary reading of the landscape along the way!
- Walks “in the vineyards” reveal how Champagne is made, the techniques of cultivation and pruning, the importance of the soil, and the typical habitat.
- Walks “with children” or “with a view” enable you to learn more about the fauna, flora and botany, as well as the subsoil. They can also be fun with anecdotes and games.
- The “historical” strolls always teach us more about the habitat, the famous men and the architecture of the monuments.
- The Circuit des Faux de Verzy has been awarded the “Tourisme et Handicap” (Tourism and Handicap) label, making the national reserve accessible to the general public, including people with disabilities.
