Focus on the V 5101, the Reims-Epernay link


This new section strengthens the Marne’s cycling offer by linking Reims and Epernay. It offers a 38.5 km “difficult” route on shared roads, recommended for experienced cyclists.

Adapt your effort to your level. A good level of road cycling is recommended. An electrically-assisted bike may be a plus to enjoy this itinerary.

Sports enthusiasts or adventurers for a day


Lovers of great loops will appreciate this route, which includes part of the 2019 Tour de France stage!

This route is reserved for experienced cyclists: it’s a shared-road itinerary with gradients of up to 12%, so it’s best suited to adults (road bikes, mountain bikes or electrically-assisted bikes).

Located in Pourcy, the Maison du Parc is the ideal place to discover the secrets of the Montagne de Reims. Its educational pond and garden, conservatory orchard and botanical trail all bear witness to the region’s natural riches. The Maison du Parc has been awarded the “Accueil vélo” label, and is equipped with an inflation station and a recharging point for electrically-assisted bicycles.

From Epernay, the V5101 connects with the V52 cycle route linking Dormans to Vitry-le-François. Located on the national Paris-Strasbourg itinerary, this cycle route allows you to continue your ride in complete tranquillity through the vineyards and wide-open spaces of the Champagne region over a distance of more than 90 km.

In Reims, don’t hesitate to take the Coulée verte to discover the treasures of the Cité des Sacres. This 24-km itinerary (V30) along the canal allows you to continue your journey in a safe, green environment.

Exceptional forests


The Montagne de Reims Regional Nature Park, created in 1976, is made up of several forests that have been awarded the “Forêt d’Exception®” label. It offers a veritable natural setting in the heart of the Marne, and is home to remarkable flora and fauna (Faux de Verzy, protected orchids…).

Think of the TER “La ligne des Bulles” linking Reims to Épernay for your outward or return journey! More than 8 trains run between these two stations every day.

Easily accessible by bike, they’re the perfect way to complete your cycle tour. Conditions may apply for bikes to be taken on board: please check with SNCF before boarding.
