All year round, the Route du Champagne offers lovers of landscapes, heritage and terroir 6 free, signposted road itineraries through the vineyards. It’s the perfect opportunity to meet winegrowers and get up close and personal with them, to discover their know-how and traditions. They’ll tell you all about champagne wines and blends, and let you taste this subtle nectar. It’s also an opportunity to visit the world-renowned champagne houses on foot, by mini-train or gondola.

6 itineraries allow you to discover the Champagne countryside along picturesque roads and meet our winemakers:

  • The Massif de Saint-Thierry, in the Ardre Valley: a magnificent green setting that surrounds villages closely linked to the coronations of the kings of France.
  • The Montagne de Reims, in the Parc Naturel Régional: one of France’s finest winegrowing treasures.
  • The Marne Valley, high above Epernay, offers splendid views and a rich heritage.
  • The Côte des Blancs, the cradle of Chardonnay: its famously named villages are built amphitheatrically into the hillsides.
  • Les Coteaux du Sézannais et coteaux du Petit Morin, Between bocage, marsh and vineyards, the route reveals a typology that combines vineyard plots interspersed with copses and fields in an undulating landscape.
  • Les Coteaux vitryats: small roads through hills, mountains and plains and villages with the characteristic timber-framed architecture of the Champagne Bocage.
