To make sure it’s a day to celebrate, we tell you everything you need to know before setting off on the En Rou(t)e Libre route!

En Rou(t)e Libre is open from 10am to 6pm.

The prefectural and municipal bylaws provide for a ban on motorized vehicles from 9am to 6pm on the roads that make up the En Rou(t)e Libre route. The Service des Routes du Département will begin setting up roadblocks and detour routes on the roads around the route as early as 7 a.m.. Depending on your starting point and destination, your itinerary may therefore be slightly affected, and I invite you to follow the detour routes you encounter.

The course is closed to motorized traffic, and arrows indicate the route to follow. Loops run counter-clockwise. The event may be cancelled in the event of adverse weather conditions or force majeure.

All animals are forbidden except assistance dogs for the disabled.

There are no specific start or finish points, so you can start wherever you like.

Thanks to the support of our partners and volunteers, En Rou(t)e Libre is free for all participants.

En Rou(t)e Libre is a family event, with a relatively flat route and no major changes in altitude. Two loops are available: a family loop (9km ): Reuil, Villers-sous-Châtillon and Binson-Orquigny and a leisure loop (16km ): Reuil, Villers-sous-Châtillon and Binson-Orquigny, depending on the age and abilities of your children.

The En Rou(t)e Libre itinerary is accessible to people with disabilities, and the route is essentially flat. All village squares are accessible, and wheelchair-accessible toilets are available.

En Rou(t)e Libre welcomes participants on bicycles, rollerblades, scooters (non-electric), walkers and any other means of transport involving only their own strength.

Electric transport :

  • Only 25km/h electrically-assisted bicycles are allowed. Adjust your speed accordingly.
  • Electric scooters are not permitted.

Bikes are available for hire (classic or electric), booked online in advance.

Help points for minor repairs are available along the route.

A first-aid post will be set up in Reuil. In case of emergency, the usual numbers apply

Organization central PC: 06 72 24 08 76

  • 112: Number for all cell phones
  • 114: Number for the hearing impaired
  • 18: Fire number
  • 15: Emergency number
  • 17: Police number

To avoid accidents, please stay on the secured course, leaving the other roads free for normal users. Only emergency vehicles (ambulances, fire department, police) are allowed on the course. Please follow the signs and instructions given by the marshals and safety officers. The organizers decline all responsibility in the event of non-compliance with these rules.

Lost children will be taken to the nearest rescue station. We recommend that parents write their telephone number on their child’s arm.

Bicycle helmets are mandatory for children under 12 and for electric-assist bicycles, and protective gear for inline skaters is strongly recommended.

Personal insurance is the responsibility of each participant. The organization declines all responsibility in the event of accident, damage or theft.

Containers are provided for waste disposal at the stage villages. Please also use the toilets provided at each stage village along the route.

The bottles will be collected at each festive venue by our partner Dioniso, then transformed into vases, glasses, carafes, candles… Thanks to a unique artisanal know-how, they will begin a second life, in the service of both responsible and ethical consumption.

Catering facilities will be available all along the route. Drinking water points will be available at each stage village.
