This majestic oak tree that is over 260 years old measures 25 metres in height and has a trunk more than 3 metres in circumference.
Also called the “Lemaire Oak”, it was saved from felling in 1948 by Emile Lemaire, then a forest ranger.
On its trunk, you can see a thread of red paint to show that it can never be felled.
