Why enjoy
it ... !

A magnificent building constructed in 1525 at the dawn of the Renaissance, the Château d'Esternay is worthy of a postcard. With its circular towers, the moats which surround it or even its dovecote (all of which is listed with the Historical Monuments), it’s well worth a visit.

If the Château d'Esternay is closed to the public, you can still see its 18 hectares of parkland, which can be visited for free every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from July to September. A lovely way to enjoy the treasures of Renaissance architecture that are still visible on the façades of the castle.

Several historical events have marked the memory of the Château d’Esternay, such as Napoleon's stay with his troops in 1814, or the First Battle of the Marne during the Great War, one hundred years later.

The little extra

The authentic interior décors of the Château d’Esternay are available for photo shoots and filming. Instead of visiting them, you might get to see them in a film!
