Balade à Baconnes

Without the faith and competence of a handful of volunteer men and women, this farming community, isolated in the middle of the plain, would have remained anonymous. Over the last 30 years, it has acquired a well-deserved reputation as a garden-village, and its continued progress right up to winning the European prize in 1980 is a stimulus for the other towns to plant more flowers. Around its Romanesque church, the circular streets and the unfenced properties come to life in summer with all the walkers who come to admire them.
