Some are recognized by quality labels such as Ecolabel européen, La Cléverte, Agricuture Biologique, Ethic Etap, agriculture biologique or Demeter jardin botanique, or adhere to specific charters, Gîtes de France and Clévacances labels.
Others offer activities close to nature as guides, non-polluting leisure activities, especially those involving gentle travel, or even places to discover organic production or short circuits.
All comply with the departmental Ecotourism charter.
The Champagne region also offers visitors who are concerned about the quality of the environment preserved and managed areas such as the Montagne de Reims Regional Nature Park, where the forest is a candidate for the “forêt d’exception” label, or sites managed and taught by the regional conservatory of natural heritage or the bird protection league.
The 2,000 kilometers of hiking trails or the 40 cycling loops and greenways are just some of the ways to discover them. Numerous SNCF train stations also make it easy to meet nature lovers.
