From Epernay to Pierry
From Épernay to Vertus, the Côte des Blancs runs north-south, resting on the edge of the Brie plateau. Your journey begins in Épernay with a climb up the famous Avenue de Champagne, where one prestigious name follows another. Rounding Mont Bernon via Chouilly, you’ll come back down to Pierry (château, cellar and 18th-century wine cellars) to discover the 12th-century church of Chavot-Courcourt, the only island in a sea of vines.
To Chantemerle
Finally, let yourself be carried away to Chantemerle, then on to Villenauxe-la-Grande, famous for its ceramics and earthenware. The old houses of the old town and the church of Saint-Pierre et Saint-Paul, with its majestic choir, will bring this tour to a pleasant close.
