Today, we’re following Carine and Jordan Lhoste and their 2 children, Sacha, 5, and Victor, 2, on their second adventure in the Marne region, for a special weekend at the Moov’O’Der Festival. Our gourmet family loves cooking, walking, cycling and picnicking. All in good fun, of course!

Weekend program

Friday 6pm: Arrival at the beach campsite
Saturday 11am: “Au Fil de l’Eau” walk
12pm: Picnic
3pm: Discover the festival activities
5pm: Water activities
8pm: Dinner at the restaurant
11 p.m.: Fireworks show
Sunday: Sailboat tour and other activities

Pour sa deuxième expérience ambassadeurs, la famille Lhoste a eu le plaisir de passer un week-end entier au festival Moov’o’Der, organisé chaque année au Lac du Der, le plus grand lac aménagé de France ! Afin de profiter pleinement de la journée du samedi, Carine et Jordan ont préféré s’installer la veille dans leur bungalow du Camping de la Plage, « un petit camping bien sympathique, près de la plage et très facile d’accès ».

So, rested and already on the spot, they quietly made their way to their first activity of the Saturday: the “Au Fil de l’Eau” walk. “We’d done the tour before, so we really appreciated the route and Julie’s comments. The tour boat is very comfortable, with a sheltered glassed-in area where you can sit, and an open-air terrace. We stayed outside to get a front-row seat with the kids: birdwatching, carp camp, Sainte-Marie-du-Lac-Nuisement church, marina… We didn’t miss the 1-hour tour,” says Carine.

At midday, the family took a picnic break by the lake, discovering the contents of their well-stocked basket. On the menu? Sandwiches, chips and other delicacies

En fin d’après-midi, la famille s’est dirigée vers les activités nautiques de Playa Regato. Carine et Victor, 2 ans, (qui commençait à fatiguer un peu) ont choisi de faire du pédalo, tandis que Jordan et Sacha, 5 ans, ont testé la trottinette aquatique à 2 ! « C’était hyper sympa. Sur la trottinette, les garçons étaient prudents pour ne pas tomber à l’eau (même si on avait emmené des affaires de rechange au cas où !). Heureusement, c’était facile d’utilisation et Jordan a adoré. Sacha a aimé cette parenthèse aquatique, il a demandé à revenir parce qu’il a vu qu’il y avait des pédalos avec toboggan ! », sourit Carine.

Pour le repas du soir, la famille a choisi de dîner au restaurant La Pirogue Bleue, juste au bord du lac. « Cela nous a fait du bien de nous poser au chaud. On s’est régalés ! Burger pour les parents, et 1 menu enfant à partager pour les garçons. C’est largement suffisant et cela évite le gaspillage ! », conseille Carine.

While waiting for the 11 p.m. fireworks show, the family returned to the campsite to let the children enjoy the playground. When the fireworks started, Victor, 2, who had been awake until then, fell asleep, while Carine and Jordan woke up Sacha, 5, who had dozed off! “The show was great, with a beautiful firework display”.. For the day, the couple had taken a cart that normally attaches to a bicycle, handy for carrying things or children if they get tired!

In the afternoon, the Lhoste family browsed the various activities on offer at the Moov’o’Der festival. The boys, dressed as knights, attended a show presented by the Muizon equestrian center, which they had discovered on their first ambassadors’ day. “The children were really impressed. The rider made us laugh, so it was great fun!

La famille s’est aussi essayée au tir à l’arc avec la Ligue Fol 55. « Sacha et Victor ont vraiment adoré ! Il y a des flèches avec une ventouse et une cible en plastique, parfaitement adaptées pour les enfants », souligne Carine. Juste après, Sacha a bénéficié d’une initiation à la pêche, un vrai coup de cœur ! « C’est ce qu’il a préféré », confirme Carine. « Le monsieur adorable lui a appris à lancer correctement l’hameçon dans l’eau. En plus il y avait des petits jeux à gagner, comme à chacune des activités ».

After a good night’s sleep, the Lhostes were delighted to return to the festival and the lake, which was alive with activities. Sailing (Carine’s favorite), rock-climbing and archery were just some of the precious moments shared with the whole family!

In general, the family felt particularly at home at this kid-friendly festival: “All the activities are spread out, so there’s no crowding – it’s really nice and pleasant,” observes Carine. “Carousel rides, face painting, swordplay, duck fishing, balloon making… there’s plenty to keep the little ones occupied! We were lucky with the weather, so we were able to make the most of it. I recommend staying 1 night on site to take your time, especially as the accommodation is accessible and you can have a picnic”..
