Winegrowers create an event

Everywhere in the Champagne appellation area, winegrowers are joining forces to promote their regions. Here are just a few of the highlights of the Champagne Tourist Route!

Vignerons de la Vallée du Flagot Champagne Bar

All summer long, from Saturday May 9, the Vignerons de la Vallée du Flagot will be offering a temporary bar in a natural, green setting.

The 19 member winemakers offer their champagnes on Friday evenings, and on Saturday evenings, the champagne bar is the setting for a wide range of events:free concerts, games and other entertainment almost every weekend!

The detailed program is available on the association’s website www.flagot.fr and on its social networks @vvflagot on Instagram and Les Vignerons de la Vallée du Flagot on Facebook.

The little man’s secrets

Head for Rilly-la-Montagne to take part in the Secrets du Petit Bonhomme, an event organized in mid-July by some thirty winegrowers in the village.

The concept? Cellar openings, vintage tastings, musical evenings, exhibitions and entertainment for all. At the first event in 2019, visitors were able to discover the secrets of barrel-making, as well as take part in the “Oenopiades”: a competition registered with the INPI, comprising three events, from disgorging to barrel racing and cork-throwing in the station square. The famous “little man” is a statue of Bacchus. It once adorned a fountain in Rilly and now stands near the station.

The gourmet walk

Combining sport and gastronomy: the Vignerons de la Vallée du Flagot (the little river that runs through Nesles-le-Repons, Festigny and Mareuil-le-Port to flow into the Marne) have thought of this too!

A ten-kilometer route takes you through vineyards, streams and forests, equipped with a flute and a gourmet passport for six culinary highlights (aperitif, starter, trou champenois, main course, cheese and dessert).

Coteaux Vitryats en fête – the banquet

Organized by the Association de Promotion du Champagne des Coteaux Vitryats (APCCV) and held every year in July. New this year, at the foot of the Bassuet vineyard, in an easily accessible site, discover a festive atmosphere around a meal specially paired with champagnes from our Coteaux Vitryats. Welcome from 12pm and lunch at 1pm. Guided tour of the vineyards after lunch. Reservations required.

Massif de Saint-Thierry

Held every two years since 1991 in a village on the Saint-Thierry massif, the Fête des vendanges à l’ancienne takes place in the decorated streets of the villages, combining the discovery of vines, gastronomy, culture and tradition.

COTEAUX DU SÉZANNAIS FESTIVAL

Come and celebrate the 5th edition of the “Fête des Coteaux” on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Château de Mondement! The Association de Promotion des 2 Coteaux (Coteaux du Sézannais & Coteaux du Petit Morin) invites you to a day dedicated to heritage, terroir and conviviality.
