The Haute-Seine Canal cycle route<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

20.2 km long, 17 of which are in the Marne department, the Haute-Seine canal cycle route passes through eight communes (Clesles, Saint-Just-Sauvage, Bagneux, Saron-sur-Aube, Marcillly-sur-Seine, Conflans-sur-Seine in the Marne department; Saint-Oulph, Crancey in the Aube department). It continues into the Aube department and forms part of the national V33 route linking Le Havre \/ Deauville to Troyes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A veritable biodiversity reserve, the Seine valley is home to exceptional flora and fauna specific to wetlands. Many birds find refuge here. Piscivorous, the Common Tern and the European Kingfisher fly over the river to feed on small fish. Insectivorous, the whinchat prefers meadows. A multitude of insects (butterflies, crickets, grasshoppers, dragonflies, etc.), including the protected Swamp Copper butterfly, can be observed in these habitats. The spotted pelodyte, a nationally protected amphibian, will find refuge in the temporary pools. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rare and protected species of flora such as British woodruff, angular garlic, gratiola officinalis and high violet thrive in the wet meadows of the Bass\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
