Here, the vineyards of the Montagne de Reims region stretch between the forest massif of the Parc Naturel R\u00e9gional de la Montagne de Reims and the agricultural plain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The region’s microclimates make it possible to grow the three grape varieties authorized in Champagne, and to offer a wide range of wines with varied characteristics thanks to the blending and ageing skills of the producers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some thirty wineries and houses bearing the “Vignobles & D\u00e9couvertes <\/strong>” label open their doors to you, revealing the secrets of their champagnes for a tasting and\/or a tour of their wineries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Champagne Tourist Route<\/strong> starts in Reims, where you’ll be sure to admire its remarkable architectural and cultural heritage, and enjoy the bustle of its city center!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the heights of Reims, a visit to one of the champagne cellars on the Saint-Nicaise hill, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a must. Millions of bottles are housed in ancient chalk quarries…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You’ll then set off to explore the other, more intimate Champagne region, stopping first at Gueux and then seeing the first vines appear at Vrigny… Your route then takes you to Epernay. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
