The town&#8217;s medieval layout was preserved, and its architecture is typically urban rather than rural. Even today, the little town has a very homogeneous heritage, with houses and fine residences built in the same materials &#8211; locally-produced clay-silica brick &#8211; and roofs covered with red tiles.  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/tourisme-en-champagne.com\/assets\/uploads\/2025\/07\/cormicycviviane-gougelet-5.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-13509\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group col-content has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Only symbolic buildings were rebuilt with stone and slate roofs: the church, town hall and post office.
